The lovely cheese loafs baked to perfection and stacked up in the bakeries should definitely inspire you to bake at least a single loaf of italian bread once in a while..
You would need:
* 3/4 cups warm water
* 1.5 cups bread flour or less, i just measured them approximately
* 1/4 cup shredded pepperjack cheese
* 1 teaspoons Italian seasoning
* 2 tablespoons grated cheese ( didnot have any parmesan cheese)
* 1 tablespoons of sugar
* 1/2 teaspoons salt
* 1 packet of active dry yeast
* 4 tbps of olive oil (for kneading)
The truth is im not familiar with proofing the yeast, hence i added all the ingredients in the order and mix with a wooden spoon until the dough centers. Oil your hands with some olive oil and knead for a good 7-8 minutes, shape into a ball and cover and let it rise for 45 mins or until double. After the first rise, punch down the dough gently, and shape into the loaf and let sit for a second rise for another 30-40 mins. Preheat the oven to 375C and back it for 30 minutes.
Due to the cheese, the bread is extremely soft, so let it cool for few hours before slicing. If you feel that the bread is falling apart, refrigerate the bread for 6 hours, and slicing should be easy. Enjoy with some fresh butter.
Note: If you are using this bread for a couple of days, it is necessary to refrigerate it as it contains cheese.
